Who are these SIRENES ?

The unhappy Little Sirene from Andersen
that longs crying in silence for her Prince ?

Or the fearsome singing creatures
who tempt Jason and Ulysses ?

A lovely young girl, with long hair and a fish tail,
living in the fairy tales of our childhood,
with all but evil intentions ?

Or the fatal creatures from Ancient Greece, half-women half-birds,
attracting sailors and vessels on to deathly rocks ?

Neither the one, nor the others.

Certainly, irresistibly, one imagines
voices and melodies of yet unheard songs.

Here the SIRENES chants do not emerge from ancient legends,
they spring from a poetic and musical travel through the infinite
expressive resources of the voice.
